Coverage is provided for accidental death and dismemberment while traveling on a Common Carrier Conveyance (plane, train, ship, helicopter, or bus) when the Entire Fare** has been charged to the Card.
When something you buy is broken or stolen, it shouldn't be your problem. That's why if you use your Card for eligible purchases, they can be protected from accidental damage or theft for up to 90 days from the moment you buy them.
If you try to return an eligible item within 90 days from the date of purchase and the merchant won't take it back, American Express may refund the full purchase price, up to $300 per item.

I've been a member since 1988. Having this card means a lot when shopping or getting service. The card is respected by quality oriented merchants. Never had any problems with purchases or service. I never had to worry about limit or having a purchase rejected. I enjoy the rewards program and have used it to purchase merchandise and gift cards for my grandchildren. Service reps are very knowledgeable and resolve any problems immediately. I'll always be an American Express member.

AmEx offers the best benefits for identity protection. I purchase a lot of products and services online without worry using my AmEx card. I am also impressed with AmEx's program to promote small business. I try to buy as much as I can from local small businesses. I have seen an increase in the number of small businesses now accepting AmEx as a result. Keep up the good work!

One of my favorite benefits is the bi-annual offers to purchase the AXP gift cards with activation fees waived. I give these gift cards to clients in appreciation for their referrals. Membership rewards offers wonderful products using points and these are products along with airlines that I use! The products I have ordered using from Membership Rewards are top quality and have always arrived as promised.

Here's my review. I neither need nor appreciate a graph of how I use my card sent to me in an e-mail! What's wrong with you people? If it's not broken, quit trying to fix it.
The Gold Card from Amex. is for me an average charge card. The benefits of card use don't do much for those like me who are not travelling extensively multiple times per year. Simply put the more money you have to spend and the more you travel, the better the card benefits help.It's a welcome addition to my wallet and I use it multiple times per day / week but again for me and I suspect many others. The benefits the card offers just don't do much at my level of travel and spending and will likely never be fully realized.
I find that this gold card is one of the best. I try to use it as much as possible. I recently selected the pay over time option. I will use it later this summer as I travel.

Only one disablement for the same cause during any consecutive seven-day period will be allowed. Examples may include, but are not limited to: Charges made outside of the U.S., in duty-free stores, or on board airplanes or cruise vessels; international airline ticket Purchases; vehicle rentals; lodging stays extended beyond original reservation period; certain mail order Purchases; Purchases billed on a recurring basis; Purchases at gas stations; telecommunications charges, including charges incurred with calling cards; taxicab charges; security deposits; late, damage, or other fees in connection with rentals; Purchases billed in installments; restaurant tips and other gratuities; and Charges that occur before the end of billing period, if the Charge is posted to your Account after the Closing Date of that billing period. Any limit will not be applied to Charges for foreign currency or for travelers cheques or gift cheques obtained at a location other than an American Express Travel Service location or by telephone from us. The Spending Limit is optional. If no spending limit is set on the Additional Card, spending capacity on this Card will be subject to the Primary Card member's account terms and conditions.
